About This Project

Serene and Spacious Modern – Boulder

A traditional 1969 style 2 story, with small dark rooms, was transformed into a modern spacious home filled with light and a connection to the outdoors – all providing solace and serenity. Our client requested a balance between elegance, simplicity, beauty and function that would be welcoming and comfortable.

“This is the house that feels most connected with my family and my children growing up. I remember saying, ‘I want to do right by this house’, surprising myself when I heard the words coming out of my mouth and when I got choked up as I said them. That statement reflects a sense of love, and loyalty and reverence for this house as it symbolizes and connects to my family and to our history that I wasn’t aware of when I started this process. It’s why I was willing, and was almost compelled in fact, to increase my budget to accomplish what I really wanted to do. I still feel profoundly grateful that I was in a financial position to do that. So now this home reflects and supports my most optimal internal state of being as well as my deep appreciation for the shelter and more that it offered my family.”
